At Galactic Fed, our clients’ goals are our goals, and their wins are our wins, too. We are in the business of growing companies, and nothing makes us feel more like we are fulfilling our purpose than when we see stellar results.
Such was the case when we were enlisted by HVMN, a premium San Francisco-based startup with a portfolio of products for daily keto support to increase market share and improve their position in organic search results. And results are what we were able to achieve. Check out the full story below.
With their rapid growth, HVMN wanted to ensure that they also consider the optimization and continuous development of their website. In addition to this, their goal was to increase their visibility and online presence to expand their reach, boost their traffic, and drive real, impactful results.
To do this, we began by strategically laying out a custom SEO plan to meet their expectations. The plan included building high quality, authoritative backlinks via different outreach strategies, extensive Google Best practices technical SEO site audit, on-page optimization, and keyword research-based content strategy to identify content opportunities tailored to HVMN’s buyer’s journey.
We recognize every client is different, with unique challenges and strengths. With this in mind, we always make sure to craft a strategy that is custom and specialized to the client and their goals.
Our SEO team got started by studying HVMN’s business, including its target market, audience, key consumers, locations, and overall marketing goals. This allowed us to align HVMN’s goals with Galactic Fed’s execution to focus on the most important aspects that needed to be considered to make we hit HVMN’s goals out of this world.
On the next leg of our journey with HVMN, our team audited their sitemap and both discovered and prioritized optimization opportunities. On-page optimization included the revision of meta description, headings, and page titles to include focus keywords that would compel users and increase traffic. This included suggestions of improvement to their UX.
To uncover keyword opportunities for ranking, we called upon our SEO scientists to conduct thorough keyword research, targeting both transactional and informational keywords. We took the data and findings from this and used the information to develop an effective content strategy and apply this across all pages within the clients’ site, including product pages and blog posts. This helped our team attract the right target audience and drive relevant organic traffic.
Next, we experimented with different email marketing campaigns, including blogger outreach and targeted link building, where we focused on the less ranking pages and built more authority to those. We included a strategy for guest posting to target high ranking sites and forum engagements. These strategies helped increase the social proof of HVMN’s brand in its niche and helped contribute to increased brand awareness.
Throughout the entire process, we consistently provided site architecture recommendations to ensure HVMN’s is easy to navigate and maintain an optimized flow of link value. This helped decrease bounce rates and increase user experience. At Galactic Fed, communication with our client is our priority. We keep them in the loop with weekly updates, and throughout our entire time with them, are giving suggestions as to ways they can meet their goals.
Before working with us, HVMN’s site had some common technical errors that required optimization. Each of these issues was addressed by our team, and solutions were provided to improve the overall experience on their site. We also helped HVMN’s internal team execute these recommendations correctly. That allowed them to understand better the best practices needed to avoid the dreaded Google penalizations or de-ranking factors.
The multiple outreach campaigns launched for this project brought a positive SEO impact, increasing the client’s backlink profile by 121%. Our team was able to build links and partnerships with health and nutrition-related sites as well as bloggers who write mostly on health and wellness, which was awesome for brand recognition, too. Before HVMN enlisted us, they had 3,949 backlinks pointing to its site. Then, 11 months later, this increased to 8,736 total backlinks. Check out our infographic below for all of the stats.
The site’s organic traffic climbed to 91,482 visitors per month, a 583% increase from the initial count of 13,403 visitors per month before Galactic Fed was brought in. Reflecting on this impact, HVMN thrived in their industry and solidified their online presence.
Lastly, the site’s organic keywords ranking in the top 100 increased by 363%. About 64,438 keywords earned a spot in the top 100 and 9,673 of which appeared in the top 10. This implies that more keywords appear on the first page of search results. This, combined with improved user experience, resulted in a remarkable increase in organic traffic - and we were so happy to help achieve this.
Collectively, the SEO strategy tailored to fit the client’s objectives resulted in enhanced user experience increased organic traffic and rankings, and long-term internal best practices.
